MapMyDogWalk is a very useful App. which maps your route in realtime via GPS. It has mixed reviews, we quite like it as you can record where you walk (for next time) and find your position to avoid getting lost in woodland or unfamiliar places. Worthy of checking out for yourself . . .
In comparison to Google Maps the here App. has a majority of the same features, as mentioned below. The thing we value most about the here App is the ability to download maps in advance to use offline . . . with a bit of forward thinking you can prepare yourself when going to places known to have poor GPS reception with stored maps at hand.
